Less is more has always been my home decor plan. No seasonal decorations other than a Christmas tree, and that doesn't always happen.
Now clothes...that's another story. ![]()

I have just enough. I enough decor to make it look cozy and well decorated. I have enough back stock of items I use every day so I don't run out.
Clutter and a lot of useless items gives me anxiety. Over buying gives me anxiety. All of my drawers and cabinets and closets are organized and tidy. It's taken me a few years to get it the way I like it and it's easy to maintain.

I definitely have less of everything than when I first got married. A flooded basement several years ago helped us get rid of lots of stuff! I've been a ruthless purger for the past several years too so our closets and cabinets aren't stuffed with lots of stuff we don't use. Our house is not minimal, but it's definitely less cluttered than before. My DH likes to hold on to things so it will never be completely pared down. We don't stockpile supplies either.

@RedTop I like your 'thinking'. Clothes - enough to get by. Closets have more that I don't wear than do. No recent buys.
I watch all the fuss over clothing on the Q - and shake my head. How can so many people be so consumed with it. Don't understand.
Now food - different story - big freezer full of shrimp & 3 kinds of fish and beef in every form (steaks - ground beef ) ...and lots of frozen vegetables. Light eater but want many different options available.

What I like - definitely less. Clutter gives me anxiety. I don't do busy designs (if anything in a room has a pattern on it, it can only be certain things and not too busy and everything else needs to not have a pattern) and I don't like a lot of stuff everywhere. My ideal would probably be a fairly sterile environment.
What I have - Yeah, not so much that. My house is fairly large (4bdrm) and there's too much stuff. I've been in a place of being overwhelmed for a while now so I don't seem to do much about it. Frustrating.

Me? Now? LESS!!!! MUCH less!
I can't stand clutter now and in the 90's I had clutter! I don't do seasonal now (except the Christmas tree and pumpkins on the porch) and haven't in a long time.
Food: I tend to do more. Don't want empty plates and sad eyes around the table!
Clothing: More. I have outfits ready for things that might or might not happen!
@Sooner Definitely less is more at our house.

Minimalist here.

Less is more & it's so easy to keep clean and neat. We just got done with our spring cleaning. One room at a time which was easy for us to do.

OH, some "more": toilet paper and paper towels and hand sanitizer--especially the little bottles! ![]()
