Long overdue, no one should have to be subject to sexual harrasement.....BUT IT WOULD SEEM THAT IT SHOULD BE REPORTED IMMEDIATELY NOT YEARS AND YEARS LATER.  Just the accusation can destroy someone and no doubt the evidence NOW is only He said---She said.

It bothers me that those reporting this behavior actually benefited from it in some way... becoming famous or being promoted as a star.

And personally that one person who is in the limelight... I would never want my  PROFESSION KNOWN TO MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS.  When did being a porn star become an honorable profession.

This won't be popular but oh well....  There's a witch hunt out against men right now.   I absolutely agree about a woman being raped but the sexual harrassments against men has gotten out of control.   Women don't seem to be taking any blame for their actions.    I'm so over their excuses of losing my job etc.    Why do you think women dress the way they do?   And please don't say because they can... of course they can but they want a man's attention.    When they get it well then you know the rest of the story.

Oh, please .....  this has been going on forever, and men keep getting away with it because either women are too afraid of retaliation or, usually, they aren't believed.   What if someone speaks up and they say, yeah, right .... and do nothing?  Who wants to be humiliated on top of the humiliation of the sordid attack?  What's courageous about doing something that will only hurt you and accomplish nothing for the predator?

There are many things that have been swept under the carpet for too long .... domestic violence, incest, sexual attacks and harassment.    The list goes on.

It's so naive to say "just speak up" .....  that doesn't guarantee that anything will be done.   Haven't you read anything on this?

There is nothing naive about it. It's a character thing, either you have it or you don't.

These women should have spoken out when it occurred.  It's not that authentic when they speak out 20 years later.

I'm not sure I 100% agree with the women shaming Tom Brokaw.

If you don't speak up, you are allowing it to continue.

Yes, you face the risk of nothing being done, loosing your position and all the rest of it.

Nobody said life was going to be easy or fair.

It only gets that way when people speak up and demand change. The movement today is at least 30 years overdue, and women who kept silent are part of the reason it has continued to go on.

Speaking the truth shouldn't be tempered by the fact someone might not believe you. Taking action against wrong shouldn't be decided based on the probability of you succeeding in righting it the first time. Having to stand alone should not be the determining factor for not acting.

Intelligent response. Seems odd reading women shaming women.

i don't think it's odd at all, and I don't think women are "shaming other women".  I think it's odd that some waited 20 plus years to speak up.  Sorry,  my opinion.  There's no shaming going on here.

Yes, because they only have to be ACCUSED and they are guilty! I feel really sorry for most men in the workplace these days.  What's going to happen is that they will hesitate to hire women and if possible avoid working with them.

And  you can't blame them.

It isn't about shaming. It is about responsibility. The responsibility To themselves, and the women who came after them to stand up and say something.

You know some of this reflects badly on the women As @Free2be has stated, she wasn't forced  at all

I would never condone any sort of harassament. It should not happen ,but why bring this up 25 years later, if you weren't raped or forced?  Is it for attention or revenge? It seems pointless to me

Agreed!  So how do you factor in all the women who used it to get ahead at work?  And believe me I've seen it happen.  As long as there are willing participants nothing will change.
