I was reading some older posts about program hosts with visible tatoos.  I"m older and my skin is thinning; small wounds leave unattractive discolorations.  I now refer to them as my "mature tats" that are well earned.  I'm glad, however, that they don't add insult to injury to existing tats.

Makes me sad to see what people do to themselves.

Not sure what your last sentence means.  Thin skin bruises easily, and the bruises are slow to heal.  Very annoying.  I don't care if people have tatoos or not but don't really understand their appeal.

I don't have any tattoos.  When I was younger, most all of my friends got one on their ankles or lower back.  I wanted one then, but never knew what on earth I would choose.

I'm so glad I never got any.  I see the way my skin has changed.  This was the reason my mom always told me not to get one.

They don't bother me on other people though.  It's not my body, so I don't have to live with it.❤️

I'm such a 'chicken' when it comes to physical pain, so having a tattoo needle pierce my skin has never been a consideration.

I find them disgusting when I see them literally covering people.

I'm with you @deepwaterdotter with the pain factor, I don't have any tats, never had the desire to get one.  When I see the ink art on some of these entertainers from head to toe, I just shudder and can't imagine the pain they went through to achieve the look but it's your body and your business that's all that matters and all the best to you.

You wouldn't want to wear the same clothes every day the rest of your life, you work to remove any blemish you have, so why would you want a permanent picture on you?

I don't get it.  It may be special today, but 20 years today how will you see it?

I find tattoos repulsive but as others have said..it's yur body and your choice.  I will never understand the tats on the face or the neck.

A few years ago a comic on TV said "All neck tattoos should be the same.  A simple script that says "So, I didn't get the job?"

Tattoos to me represent a level of impulsiveness that is not attractive. It's not like a blue mohawk that you can grow out and change. It's a trend that is permanent and looks awful as skin ages. Also, fun fact, the skin is technically an organ and your body constantly fights with an immune response toward the tattoo ink. No one knows how that affects the body long term, especially with these giant tattoo sleeves some people have. With all of the autoimmune disorders we see now I wouldn't want to chance it.
