I put up all of my Christmas decorations today, so the house is feeling festive. Now I'm relaxing in my chair, listening to my favorite holiday mixed playlist, with a pupper on my lap and a cup of hot tea. The song playing right now is "Let there be Peace on Earth" by the Boys Choir of Harlem. Such a nice tone and way to start this Season. Who else is getting in the spirit with me??

It sounds lovely!

I put up all Christmas a few days after Halloween lol!Heart-I just couldn't wait! And I've watched lots of Hallmark Movies and listen to Christmas music on the radio everytime I'm in my car.

I just love it tooHeart

That sounds lovely! Our tree is in the process of being decorated. TG leftovers have been consumed for lunch and dinner and the pie wiped out. Everyone's mellow. Supposed to rain.

There's a wreath of greenery with a gold bow hanging by my front door.  Decorating is complete!

@Moonchilde~

Is that a tradition for you and others-to decorate the tree after Thanksgiving? I noticed one of my daughters does that too. It is so cheery to see the tree being decorated after a long Thanksgiving day (or maybe the day after).

@on the bay, I think it's a natural tree-decorating time if you have an artificial tree, which I think many people, and most older people, have these days. For those who are working, as my niece is, it's a nice long four-day weekend to get the tree up but also take your time doing it and enjoy. Ours will probably get finished tomorrow.

Back in the day when most people had real trees, I think most trees were bought and decorated 2-3 weeks before Xmas and taken down right after New Year's Day. They only last so long, even in water, before they start being a fire hazard ;-(

I could/would never decorate so early.  Growing up it was aleways so magical to decorate Christmas Eve.    I like to enjoy my decorations but with baking and preparations for weeks, I couldn't.  Now I do it about a week before Christmas.  Plus it is more difficult to clean around the decorations and I wouldn't want the extra bother to do so. But then again I leave mine up until February to enjoy when things settle down and many remove all traces of Christmas by New Years and some the day after Christmas.
