I kill lots of ant mounds on the property Every Spring.  They are fire ants and I use Orthene fire ant killer. I've never had an ant issue in the house. When I say that I mean I've never seen more than one or two at a time and maybe once or twice a year. About 3 years ago my sister-in-law and husband were here visiting. My husband woke me up early one morning and said Billy and Jody's room with covered in ants. Knowing his protensity to exaggerate, I said okay and closed my eyes, thinking he probably saw one especially since we've never had an ant

problem.  Curiosity got the best of me so I got up and went into their bedroom. Sure enough there was a line of ants at a windowsill marching down the wall across the floor and up into their bed. Luckily they weren't being bitten. Vacuumed up the ants and sprayed

Ortho on the area. I use this spray all around the exterior doors and all around the edge of the concrete patio. We do have some black beetles that get in through the back door but they don't make it across the room before they die.

Saw some near the pet dishes.  Managed to lure them onto a piece of cardbard and put them outside.  Moved the pet dishes onto a bench.  Hope the little pests do not return!!!
