Re: Time speeds bye too fast!

I remember when 'old people' used to tell us that time goes by fast as you get older.    I also remember thinking 'oh geez, old people say the weirdest things!'.

Way, way too fast.  That's for sure.

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).

@chickenbutt  And now I hear myself sounding like my mom!

How I'd love to hear her voice again. Was thinking about the holidays this year without her. <sob>  We survived the first year by doing completely different things for holidays. This year, we are returning to traditional holiday celebrations. My emotions are suddenly raw all over again thinking of Thanksgiving without mom at my dining table. Where has that time gone?

Money screams; wealth whispers.

Re: Time speeds bye too fast!

It's some kind of cosmic joke that time actually goes faster the older we get.

I'm terribly sorry for your loss.   I'm so glad you had a good, loving mother.  I don't know what that's like, but it's something that I always wished I had, instead of the horrible one I got.

But, yeah, how time goes by!!    I swear, sometimes I'm going along in my day and it's about 1pm and then the next minute it's 5pm.   Monday comes along, then it's TuesWedThursFRIDAY.   Like, in a flash!    I wish it could slow down a bit.

When we're young, we never realize to appreciate that because we just shine on the older folks telling us how, before we know it, time will be flying by.  Smiley Sad

You are very kind!   My first thought, of course due to my upbringing and always being told how worthless I was, was 'I am not worthy'.   I need to work on that.   I know I'm not a bad person and I just want to keep on with that and do what I can to live a decent life.

I don't want to go further OT, with respect to the OP.   Smiley Happy     Thank You, Cherry, for walking your walk.  I will always respect that.   Heart

:"Play it.  Play it, Sam."

This is going through my head as I've read this thread.

"You must remember this, a kiss is just a kiss, a sigh is just a sigh.  The fundamental things apply...as time goes by."
