Here it is frigid January. I took my big collie, Jett, to be groomed today and the groomer called to say he had several ticks on him. We usually have a few during wet springs for about a month. We just finished a week where it hardly got above freezing and we have ticks? I suppose this is another result of our recently crazy climate. If you live in the Southwest or an area that is likely to have them, be on the alert. We have common dog ticks, not deer ticks.
