Thank you for this recommendation of the wondercide!  We find the tiny deer ticks on our goldendoodle once in a while.  Yesterday in fact. I looked this Wondercide up and it appears to be totally natural. 

The current medicatrion(s) we give our dog to eat to repel ticks/fleas/mosquitos doesn't keep them from being bitten by the tick. It just kills the tick once the dog is bitten.  It dies pretty quickly from what we have observed.  The idea is it doesn't have time to inject its poison I guess.  Our previous dog got Lyme disease from a tick.  He was treated for it and survived. 

I also learned you have to give the flea and tick meds year round.  The nasty critters are still out there even in winter.

I have used the seresto collar,for quite a few years,tick are terrible here in maine.

@cheriere  I have the little three pack of tick removers from Chewy.  They work great for our barn cat and also people.  There are three sizes of removers with a pic of the ticks on the package.  Even though we put flea and tick med on our cat he still gets them from being outdoors.

Thanks for posting the photos! I've been bitten 3 times last year & wound up getting the bullseye rash twice so they put me on antibiotics to hopefully avoid getting Lyme's disease.

It's a freaking plague. I was even wearing "insect" treated clothing at the time. Pants tucked into socks, tucked into boots and a shirt tucked into the pants. The darn things still bit me!

@Beammeupscotty  You're welcome!  I wish I could give credit when due.  For the life of me I cannot remember the person's nick who orginally recommended Wondercide back in 2020-2021.

One of my neighbors found a tick on her dog.  She was sqimish about removing it.  I grabed the Wondercide & sprayed.  The tick dropped off deader than a doornail!  Yes, it's all natural.

Here in PA, most folks I know who've spend any amount of time out in nature have had tick bites. It's horrible here. I've been treated for Lyme 4 times.

It's worst in Spring and Fall. In Spring ticks are out in force. Same for Fall. But I've never seen them on my animals in summer, And especially hot, dry summers are great! Cold winters are tick free, too.  This has been my experience.
