Okay, the thread went off topic according to Brittany at the Q. Here's a second try.

Three more females from Mr. Cosby's past came forward accusing him of the similar behavior that the other 35 or so have claimed. The list goes on.

If the incidents are alleged to have happened back in the dark, distant past; they are meaningless when it comes to an arrest. And that is all I care about. I don't care about civil suits and the court of public opinion already knows what he did. So, it doesn't really matter anymore if 1000 women come foward if he still can't be arrested.

Ordinarily, I'm not a huge fan of Gloria Allred, but this time, I hope she nails this guy to the wall !!

Well, he does have to give a disposition in that under-age case ~ but I wonder if it will be made public?

It's not a civil suit, right? So I think it has to be.

In many ways it does matter. If nothing else, the LESSON it teaches to those who Imagine how great someone is when they are really garbage in reality. Also, it also is a lesson for the females to step up and come forward and be as loud as they can be when this sort of perverse behavior occurs.

Mr. Cosby is just one, there are probably many and they don't have to be in the public eye or a celeb. Even those in postitions of authority or power should be exposed so that this sort of suffering they bring upon females stops and serves as a warning to those who abuse their 'image', trust, and reputation, so that they will be brought to justice, public embarassment and shame. If there's jail time and fines, good.

I think that one fell through. The accuser tried to extort money from Cosby years ago, so her claim that blocked the incident from her memory, so the statute of limitations count would begin when the memory of it returned. Good try. But Cosby's attorneys had proof that she tried to get money from them years ago. So, obviously, she remembered what happened. Unfortunately, the most recent accusers are saying that the attacks happened in the 70's for two of them and when the Cosby show was in it's early years for the third. Too old. And of course, it's just their word, there's no corroboration. My guess is those three came foward because they want in on the civil suit. Which my lawyer friends say will be a very difficult uphill battle for any woman who does not have corroboration of some type. It doesn't have to be proof just more than an allegation. A decades old allegation at that. Maybe it's just me but I just want to see an arrest and trial.
