I work at a grocery store and am really tired of seeing horrendously sleazy pix on the covers of the tabloids. This week there is one of a Kartrashian in a thong..hugely in a thong. Enough said about that,it's kind of stomach turning actually. But I see young kids just staring at this tripe all the time. I wish they would put this stuff in the magazine section not where you CANNOT miss it up front. Anyone else think so? I don't think of myself as "prudish" I just think this trash shouldn't be so in your face.

I'm tired of seeing the Kardashians on the covers. I wonder if I'll live to see the day when the publishers find something/someone else to focus on.
I agree that some of the cover photos are becoming more and more risque. Just doesn't seem right to place them next to the candy.
MoJoV, does your store sell a lot of those magazines? I always see people looking while they're waiting in line, but I can't remember the last time I saw anyone buy one. Seems like the managers would want to use that space for something that would sell.

Wegmans now puts the trashiest in the magazine section of the store...not in the checkout lines.
That being said - I think they are pretty funny!
Women's World has a picture of my dog's niece this week - Sky the wire fox terrier! It's a picture of her with her front paws in the Best in Show trophy...how cute!
She's MUCH cuter than a Kartrashian!

I enjoy reading the covers while I wait in line. I'll buy one, occasionally.
If they're going to move something, move the candy!

There used to be several tabloids in my immediate area--I think they have moved on, but they used to employ a lot of people. True story from about 10 years ago. . .
I am in the grocery checkout line. A young woman with an adorable baby in her cart, accompanied by an older lady (I guess her mother). They were putting their groceries on the belt and suddenly the young woman said, seeing a tabloid, "Mom! Look! They printed my story!!" I was tired from my day, but that woke me up when I saw the headline.
I asked her, trying not to look at her child, "You had the baby of a Space Alien?" She said, coldly, "No, I wrote the story." I apologized and congratulated her. For a few seconds, though, that story had my full attention.

God Bless her but my grandmother used to pick up the Enquirer back in the day and read it like it was the regular newspaper.
I think they]re just trashy.
