Here in NW Ohio I have enjoyed the summer.  We've had some days where the temps were pretty high, but blessed with mostly lower humidity.  And I do have AC, so really blessed!

We've had rain when we needed it, but no tornado watches or warnings.  I've really enjoyed the summer.

I totally agree it has been a long, hot summer. We went almost three months with no rain, and triplle digits for 79 days. We had to stay in the house because it was just dangerous to be out in the heat. I had to use my washer and dishwasher before 11 am or after 8 pm. Turned thermostat up to 76 and had the ceiing fans running nonstop. Our electric bills have been so high DH has to sit down before he looks a them. I am so ready for fall...but we still have a few weeks of hot weather.....but think the triple digits may be over and we are i the low to mid 90s now...feels like some relief. I am so greateful to have a/c and didnt lose our power, and realize many were not as fortunate. I am glad you are doing okay now and am as anxious for sweater weather as you are!

Nope, not down here in NOLA.  We've had slightly lower temps than usual because of so many rainy days.  So a bit easier on the AC.  And so far the hurricanes have left us alone (fingers crossed).  So pretty good so far.  Of course our summer will continue through Sept. and Oct., ha ha.

I love summer and am sorry to see it coming to an end.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

Yes, I was thinking about that the other day--that there haven't been a lot of hurricanes this year (but the year's not over). It is me or does it seem like there's been more tornados?

I'm usually tightfisted when it comes to money but when we finally decided to get a/c, I all but shoved the money into the installers' hands--couldn't wait to run it and it's just about saved my life. As someone else said, I don't do well in hot weather.

@Kalli   In eastern Massachusetts it has been an extremely hot and humid summer, also.  The lack of rain and nearby forest fires have made it all worse.

In the hot humid weather, I don't drink hot coffee. I make my mug of coffee and add sugar. Then I pour it into a little stainless steel saucepan and put that in the freezer for about ten

minutes. Then I put it into a glass, add cream and ice. I now like making my own iced coffee rather than drive to Dunkin Donuts

to get one.  I don't even want to leave the house in this weather.

I sure do where I live and it's only going to get worse as the years go on. So very sad as we humans have done this to ourselves by NOT taking care of the world, the planet in which we live.

The end is nearer and very few seem to know this.

And think of the $ you're saving by making your own!

A normal pleasant summer weather wise for me. September is my favorite time of year, so happy it is here tomorrow.

Wrong is still wrong just because you benefited from it.

There's so many reasons why I'm glad  that summer will be over soon. Right now I like to open my windows at night to let in the cool summer night air but that's getting pretty disgusting b/c of the neighbors grills going and fire pits blazing and spewing smoke. The air really stinks. Fall can't get here fast enough.
