This wasn't from a church bulletin, but when I was a kid the sign outside the church showed the name of the sermon for that particular Sunday. It was called "Earth Shattering Events". That same Sunday, there was a big earthquake and it shook the building. Seemed funny at the time..

I love reading these! I remembered another, which appeared during Jay Leno's Headlines a while ago:

"Father O'Malley will be unable to serve the Healing Mass this evening. He had contracted Malaria."
