This could be a stupid question--warning

Why is it that growing up poor..........but still loving beautiful things and pretty things in makeup and clothing and all when I was young.........and still liking beautiful things now? I have friends that are so simple. Just basic things which is great.........they don't care what they buy in makeup and things........they don't put time in their clothes buying........they are just simple and in what I love I research and see.........sample.....buy when possible.......now when I worked I made great money.......for me........I have just always loved beautiful things......even down to hankies. Where do you think that came from when I was so young?
