Ah, the same old struggle with those who don't know the difference between fact and opinion. It never ends.
Like the saying goes, we are entitled to our own opinions but not our own facts.

It's not meant to be offensive, however. I just tend to say what I'm thinking about the issue with no flowery-speak because I don't really relate to that. Plus, I hope that my actual words will be 'heard', because I like to help and will go right to the problem and say what I think might help, or give facts that are the answer to the question at hand.
I'm afraid I'm the same! I was raised in a home where we could openly speak our minds with the understanding that what was said was an opinion and we had a right th have them. I never mean to come across as what I say must be followed or agreed with. Like you, I feel there are many situations I've seen in my life and if I can help someone navigate a similar situation with the benefit of my experience, great! I'll offer advice but I don't care whether or not it's taken!

Why would anyone let what other people say bother you, unless there is some truth there? If someone is a chronic complainer, that is easy to detect and says more about them than anything to do with you. Please ignore because some of us like to read both good and bad here.

I didn't see anyone say they were bothered by it. I'm talking about those who noted the complaints about FB.

The problem isn't about people disagreeing, it is about those who argue with people who disagree with their opinion. For heavens sake, everyone comes from a different place or viewpoint, leave people alone and move on!!

@colliegirls.....unfortunately, some just won't do that. ![]()

This is a discussion board, not a make one statement and move on board.
If people can't handle disagreement maybe they should switch to Among Friends.

Disagreeing is not the same as arguing. Opinions are not right or wrong (unless it is a medical or legal court opinion), that is why they are opinions.

If someone gives incorrect facts, there is nothing wrong with others disagreeing and backing it up with facts.
This board has been that way for years and years.

There are a lot of harsh people around and it seems a great proportion of them end up on line somewhere.
I try to believe that they don't know how harsh they read online, or maybe they do? (Perhaps they don't have much power in their life).... hard to say.
I've been in some very rough political forums over the years with very light moderation. Try to let whatever attitudes you come across slide right off, stay impersonal, argue points, not personalities or leave the discussion.... and most of all.... don't take anything said to you personally.
