Other than once as a young child and once as an adult, I have never had a birthday party, not even for special years. I shut down to birthdays long ago because they have mostly been just another day that no one cared about but me. Now I don't care either. Easier that way.

You should start a thread here on your birthday and let everyone fill the thread with cakes, flowers and best wishes! You deserve it!

I am so sad for all who have never had nice birthday parties. I just never imagined so many that haven't had their special day celebrated.

I guess I was so fortunate-my whole family has always made a big deal re birthdays and now all my children do too -I guess we always will.

So to everyone who was never made to feel how special and loved they are-Happy happy birthday!-and I think birthdays should be celebrated all year long!

Lets all toast to ourselves!!!
