That is great news! Now you can relax and enjoy your new home. It sounds as though management wants to cooperate and make things right.

Well I have not heard from them yet. I'm not even sure they are here on Saturdays. But I am hopeful they will cooperate with the remediation recommendations, as it seems to me most of it can be done by their own maintenance department, which wouldn't cost them any money.

Good news! Stuff like this can be so draining on a person....especially after a big move. Enjoy your new home, Ford. Smile

Thank you so much jubilant. I'm looking forward to unpacking and getting these boxes out of here. This is such a pretty place and I'm anxious to make it look pretty. Smile

Thanks, Ford! I'm deliriously happy about the report! I'm guessing that you won't have to temporarily move. It must be a huge relief for you and your daughter! Lots of good luck to you. I'm sure that the plumber will be out there, repairing that pipe, etc. and repairing your shower subfloor and shower floor, etc. Thank goodness for all concerned that it isn't much worse. I'm sure management is relieved, too.

Romary, you are so cute. Frankly I'm hesitant to post what the remediations are. I'm not up to those who will hop on everything and criticize it, I am just too tired. Suffice it to say that if they do the recommended repairs, we will be fine, and thrilled to live here. {#emotions_dlg.wub}

Thank you glorybe. My daughter said she will show the report to her naturalist doc, who knows a lot about these issues. But all in all, I'm glad we had the testing done, and if the repairs are also done, we will feel safe living here for however long it is possible. The main issue is that it is not toxic black mold. And that is a huge relief.

Hey ((Ford)) - Well, it sounds promising that the remediation steps are doable for the apartment management, but I'm still sorry there was a problem at all. I know this has been weighing heavily on you. I'm hopeful they'll take the necessary steps and all will be well.

I sincerely hope you can take a breath now and enjoy what sounds like a beautiful apartment with your little daughter. You are both lucky to have each other. Good to hear you can finish unpacking.

Yippee! Good to hear there is no mold and the repairs should be able to be done by their maintenance.

Hopefully, your daughter's doctor will be willing to look at the report and give his/her blessing.

I'll bet you both are relieved and after it took longer than it should have to get this report, I'm sure you are exhausted. It's draining on one's emotions.

Thanks for the update and I truly wish you both a happy life in your new "grey gardens".

Thanks Deb! I am relieved and she is too. she really loves it here . . . it's her old stomping grounds. She has a lot of friends she wants to invite over once we are settled. She needs that, she was so isolated where she was living. It's a lovely day here in South Jersey today, a day for optimism. Smile

Yeah, I'm pretty drained HisElk, and I have a new health problem, so I have to turn my attention to that. But all in all, I think the relief that we can stay here is huge!!

I think the doctor will be fine with the report. It's just a precaution.

Thank you my friend for your always good wishes. {#emotions_dlg.wub}

It is so important to have friends when you have a chronic illness. Isolation makes it so much worse.

It's always a victory for me when I remember why I entered a room.

That is so true. I think isolated individuals die much sooner than those with loving family and friends around them.
