I am not interested in him but he asked me if I ever need help or just want to talk let him know. I just politely thanked him and left it at that. I don't know him I just say hi if I see him just to be polite.Yet I know there is or was a lady over there. Why would a man ask to help another woman when he has a lady already? They were fighting last night (not about me) Am I supposed to be the replacement lol ugh....

Re: The guy across the hall?

Who knows why? He could be trying to strike up a friendship, relationship; or he might just wanted to let you know if you ever need help you can ask him.

Anyway, a simple "thank you. I'll let you know if I ever want help or to talk" and leave it at that. I wouldn't spend too much time trying to read something into it.

ktlynam is right. And maybe he is the one that needs someone to talk to.

Maybe but I would still steer clear.. You do not know how dramatic the woman is...A simple thank you was the perfect response...

Thanks. Yes you are right. He was just being friendly he didn't say anything inappropriate but I am glad I didn't knock on his door wanting anything lol Not that I would ever do that. The lady might kick my _ _ _ lol

Just keep being you ... polite. If he wants to "talk" out in the drive or hallway, that's fine. Watch yourself and you'll be okay.

Re: The guy across the hall?

Hey.....I have a "the guy across the hall", and couldn't ask for a nicer person to be living there. He too has said if I ever need anything, just let him know. He was very helpful to me last month when I was going through all the doctors and tests, then had to deal with having my car inspected to get new license stickers. He took my car in to work with him (he's an auto mechanic"} and saw to it that it was inspected. And, he has taken my trash out to the dumpster a couple times when I had just placed it outside my back door.

And, he does have girls (ladies) that come to visit him. I have met a couple of them. Heck, they know I'm harmless......lol.

Re: The guy across the hall?

I think he was just being neighborly and friendly.

I don't think there is anything ""sinister"" going on.

I'd hate to have to live across from that situation. To be on the safe side, I would only greet either of them; I wouldn't get too friendly with either one. If they are fighting then they will probably each hope they can turn to you. I would keep my distance!

There's nothing wrong with getting to know your neighbors. I know most of the people in my immediate vicinity and we look out for each other.
