I am from San Diego we did not have a rolling store, however we did have a bread man who drove through the neighborhood, wow best glazed donuts I have ever had,  We also had a egg man who would come to the house, a milk man who would pick up empty milk bottles and I do remember they had diaper services back then.  I think cleaners delivered too.  Nice memories

@cheriere  Wow, Cheriere! That's an amazing story that you shared about overcoming your fears and nightmares as a kid by watching scary movies Smiley HappyHeart! That 's really cute that you would get scared and sleep in your parents bed when you were scared :heart and that's funny that your Mom made that fun little warning about telling your classmates- she never would've but it was a fun statement to help encourage you to not be scared Smiley Happy:.  Your older cousin was so caring to tell you that God would never let anything from your dreams hurt you- that is so true!! I have a lot of nightmares and I'm going to remind myself of that whenever I have them.  Go, Cheriere- you're brave and determined and you absolutely got over your fear of scary movies Smiley Very Happy! I like that- you faced your fears head on! Nothing scares Chariere! Smiley Very Happy

Lol, I really believed mom would go to the school and tell everyone I still slept with them too!  I had really bad dreams as a kid, probably what they call night terrors now.  I always started out in my own bed too, but as the night drew on I'd get scared and slowly creep in their room.🌸

Goodness, I wish I wasn't afraid of anything now.  It seems my fears have now shifted from the fantastical to reality though...namely all the fears that come with getting older.💝

I love hearing about all the different traveling vendors and services you had in your city.😃. I can imagine how delicious those fresh glazed donuts must've tasted!

I wouldn't have even known about an egg man, that's terrific!  I'll bet fresh eggs and milk tasted better then too.  What I wouldn't give for a cleaners that delivered!🌸

Im so glad you shared your memories here.  This is exactly what I hoped this thread would spark.  I love hearing about all the different kinds of shops and services available in different parts of the country.  Thank you.💝🌸

@cheriere  Moms are so convincing when they're trying to make a point to their kids Smiley Very HappyHeart! I can just imagine little kid Cheriere toughing out the nightmares and going to her parents bed for safety! I have had nightmares ever since I was a kid and sometimes I wake up in a cold sweat- I've even had one or two nightmares over and over again.  What keeps me from getting bent out of shape over my latest nightmares is I wake up and gather my thoughts after a bad dream and think, "That was a lousy movie in my head!" Smiley Wink lol.

Getting older at any stage in life is rewarding, but can also be confronting and scary sometimes- but there are gifts to aging: more confidence, wisdom, self awareness, more memories and stories and the list goes on. Life defintely throws curveballs to individuals and families- it can be full of highs and some lows.  But facing and overcoming adversity makes the human spirit stronger overtime. I'll root for you at any age- speaking of age, 50 and Fabulous is back on!! I watched the Friday night aftershow online and it was so much fun. Smiley Happy

@sunshine 919  Fresh glazed donuts form a bread man, an egg man and a milk man- and delivered laundry! That must've been wonderful Smiley Happy.  I went to San Diego last year- it is a gorgeous city and I loved the warm weather and the San Diego zoo Smiley Happy

Lol, the original Cherie!  That's hilarious, but true!😂

Before I discovered the forum, I used to livestream ALL the time!  Back then, no one else used my name, so I hope that hasn't changed.  I'll bet I've seen you livestream before too!  Now, we can always find each other.😃💝🌸

@cheriere  I love livestreaming QVC on the computer or watching live on the TV. Yes indeed! We can always find eachother on the 50 and Fabulous Live Streams Smiley Very HappyHeart.  i've noticed when some ladies share the same name, they'll put their initial for their last name or they'll put their name and the city they are from- so if there is another Cherie, there's definitely a way to differentiate between the two Smiley Happy

Good, I wondered how that might work.  I remember there was and may still be a lady named" Ellen"that used to livestream all the time when I was on there.  Anyways, there was constantly some big brew ha ha over her claiming someone had stolen her name and gone on there saying a bunch of crazy stuff lol.😃🌸

I don't know what the deal really was, but she refused to give up her real name, that I remember.  Not long after all that I found it here and truthfully haven't live-streamed but a time or two since.  I used to always play the Watch and Win game too.  I used my name there as well.  Now that I think about it, I need to at least start playing that again.  I just got discouraged because I played for a really long time of course never winning.  There was several people who'd already won more than once too!😳
