I don't remember this. Was this behavior illegal at the time?

Oh my goodness, shame on those women for wanting to be sportscasters!

About 35 years ago. Google has a lot of articles on the subject. The pros and cons.

No, it wasn't illegal and it has nothing to do with this thread.

Perhaps with further disclosures something will be done to the very public people that have gotten barely a raised eyebrow about their lecherous ways! Starting with the PROVEN incidents, you know like past interviews and video tapes!
How many young girls and grown women statements does it take to have something happen?

Again, this is a crucial distinction.
Men who cheat in a consensual relationship are exhibiting bad behavior. Men who take what they want without consent are criminals.
Depends on what you mean by consentual. If a man in a position of power is having "consentual" relations with an employee, that's still abuse of power in my book.

That may be, but consensual relationships don't normally fall into the criminal realm. If the person in power coerced a relationship or threatened the partner using power, the the relationship is no longer consensual.

I think dating anyone over or under your command or hierarchy structure is poor judgement and most companies have policies saying no to that because they don't want to get involved in the breakup and the allegations that potentially come with it.
Most work places do have "fraternizing" rules.
Personally, I date no one in my company, period. I made the mistake of dating a fellow coworker when I was in my 20s and the immaturity of people around us about the dating was obnoxious. I think they thought it was cute and their business which it isn't and it just went to teach me that I'm not a person cut out for handling workplace romance.
