John, it seems to me you have missed the point completely.  Like it or not, the flu is another risk factor and doctors are treating it as such.  I have no idea why it obviously bothers you so much, you have always supported KNOWING the risk factors.

Moving right along, I am glad my team supported preventative action, and Trinity and september’s husband’s team, also.  We were well taken care of.

@Noel7,

I understand fully that the flu could be a risk factor for many people concerning heart disease, along with many other serious diseases to which we all may be susceptible.

Two people can read the exact same words somebody typed here, and see the whole context completely differently.

We obviously think differently on some topics, and this appears to be one of them. I see that most people here are very aware of possibly getting the flu. If so, and they think they possibly may have the flu, I would think they would see their doctor ASAP. That is maybe where we may differ. I don't see the necessity in me telling them that they also might have a heart attack should they get the flu.

Assuming they will go to their doctor if they feel they may have the flu, and they trust the doctors that are treating them, I would hope that their doctor is aware of all the possibilities, that having the flu may include. Thus their doctor would more than likely check to make sure all their other major functions are not being compromised along with the flu.

This would include checking out their heart functions, those possible to do in their office. If they are not so equipped, they would more than likely either order immediate tests at a hospital, or Care Center, with which they are an associate.

There are several other experiences I have had during a couple of my regular procedures that turned quickly to an emergency code.  I never mentioned this here, or in the Wellness Forum, because these are procedures many here also have scheduled, or may have already experienced without my problem occurring.

I felt/feel no need in me telling them I "coded" while having that same procedure, as it would add more worry/stress, than they may already be experiencing while waiting to have these procedures done. I think most here can relate to waiting to have some procedures performed.

I see no way in which that would help anyone, as I assume their doctors have already told them the risk factors connected to having these performed. That is how I look at things where I sometimes feel me saying certain things that I know, and/or have experienced, are best left unsaid.

Is the way I feel about this the "right" way? Not necessarily, but that is how I feel, and as usual I seldom say things I do not mean. But is it the "wrong" way?  Back to 2 people read or hear the exact same things, and each has their own interpretation of what was seen or heard.

Stay well,
