Imagine my surprise when I opened my front door this AM and saw 8 grocery bags from a local market . I called the market and they said to call Instacart, which I did. I couldn't understand most of what she said, and I didn't have high hope for a resolution. Well in less than 15 min. the bags were gone, and I'm so glad , because it's too warm for frozen food to last long. I'm a pessimist and so when issues are solved in a timely manner, I'm pleasantly surprised. I'm just glad the folks got their order !

I've had groceries, food gifts, flowers left at my house & they never come back to pick them up, when I call they say keep it...my guess is once it's out of the delivery persons hands it's safer to replace it.

@QVCkitty1 - They're lucky you're honest and didn't just say "thank you very much" and keep the groceries.

Also, that you spotted them quickly.  Well done!

@kitcat51 , Well thank goodness they picked it up, because I got my grocery delivery on Friday and I would have no room for extras. My delivery comes from WalMart and (fingers crossed ) there hasps never been an issue. I was just imagining how inconvenient it would be for the folks who ordered.

I find what's left fast too but not fast enough to catch the delivery vechile pulling out of the driveway....I've gone to several neighbors hoping the orders are theirs but no luck so I end up gifting everything to the large family of 11 across the street. I have a limited diet & space too...happy it worked out for you @QVCkitty1

@QVCkitty1 I have had a similar experience with my order being mixed up with another order! Instacart issued another to me, and said to keep the other. I discovered a cheese and pita chips I LOVE❤ so it turned into a win!😁

@SandySparkles , I tell you this was a huge order, they packaged it in brown , paper grocery bags so it was so much more food than my WalMart plastic bags hold. All I could think of is if they don't figure this out, what in the heck do I do with all of this food. Donating is a possibility, but on Sunday who knows. Fortunately , it all worked out. I'm a worrier and over thinker so ....

All I could think of is if they don't figure this out, what in the heck do I do with all of this food. Donating is a possibility, but on Sunday who knows. Fortunately , it all worked out.
