we do pork  country spare ribs that have been cooked in sauerkraut......it is a tradition for us alongside of the turkey.

Pork Loin roast w/apples sound delicious and you can use the traditional sides as well.

Since we usually have Thanksgiving with the in-laws we have turkey & ham. At home we have Prime Rib. Don't make it for the in-laws because they want it well done. That's not happening.

I think anything goes. Whatever people like.  Turkey is I think a must plus any kind of meat. For instance I have a friend who doesn't eat any poultry  and for him we always have some kind of meat.

As long as I am given a chance to make my cranberry  sauce !!!! Lol

We have turkey and ham. 

 

How about a pork loin or a beef eye of round roast?
