From what I've read in these boards, a thank you note comes with a lot

of rules & regulations before it's a Certified Thank You Note*.  

 

1. Must be mailed immediately.

If it's later than a couple months, it's not part of the Thank You Note rules.

 

2.  Must be in cursive.  
If it printed, it's not part of the Thank You Note rules.

 

3.  Must be completed by the gift receiver.

Ex: If a gift is given to the Nephew but his wife wrote it, it's not part

of the Thank You Note rules.

 
4. Must be used as a bardering chip.

If it doesn't meet any of the above criteria, refuse to gift in the future.

Gifting unconditionally is a myth.

 

If these rules & regulations are not met, the Thank You Note is null & void.
