Hi Raleighroo,

Thank you so much for the advise that you gave me below .. I just got around to setting this up and it seems pretty easy to get e-books and audio books for my Nook from the library. I still have not downloaded anything yet as I have not yet purchased a MicroSD card but plan to tomorrow. I am assuming that I need to drag and drop the books from Adobe Digital Editions to the MicroSD card in the nook or side load directly to the Nook. Is that correct?

Hi Bogey,

I'm not MichLady but we've talked "Nookspeak" before so maybe I can help.

For my local library the first time they required me to come to the library and register on one of their PC's. After that of course everything can be done from home. You need to download Adobe Digital Editions on your home pc or laptop. This is the program that Overdrive uses to send the books to you. You can google ADE and download that way or after you get registered before you check out an ebook there is an option in the library website.

After you sign in and check out a book you will go to your cart and download. The book will go into ADE and then you sideload it to your device. Also, if you are on hold they will send you an email when it is your turn and you go to the site within 3 days of receiving the email and get your book. Different libraries have different lending periods. I usually use the 14 day option but I can do as much as 21 days for those real monster size books!

Hope this gets you going in the right direction and let me know if you need more tips or help. I've been borrowing ebooks from several libraries for almost 2 years.
