Thank You Gift ideas?

[ Edited ]

I have a friend, not super close but have known her for over a decade, we've done some work projects together, we stay in touch. She recently gave me some info and advice that helped with some things monetarily that had to do with expenses after mom passed in 2020, just got resolved. I am sending a thank you note, because I wouldn't likely have found out about this had she not told me..

She lives out of state, so I don't know lots about her day to day life, or tastes...other than she's a vegetarian, animal lover, collects vintage things to resell on Etsy.

I just thought a little something or gift card to something, but am a bit stumped....any ideas??

She's already mentioned to me someone had sent her one of those "Hello Fresh" type meal things before, and I think she might already belong to another one...that would have been good to send but I think she's covered.

@amyb I would think that a thank you note would be enough.

The next time that I hear salt and ice together, it better be in a margarita!

Surprise her with sent flowers.  Those surprise type of gifts are always great. (hopefully, no allergies).

I agree!  You can't go wrong with a pretty bouquet of flowers...what a nice & unexpected surprise! Smiley Happy

A thank you card would probably be just fine.  If you want to send more maybe a gift card for Panera's or The Cheesecake Factory.  Or Shari's Berries delivers the most delicious and beautiful chocolate covered strawberries.  Just decadent.

I agree with the other posters that a thank you note will be enough.  If you want to get a thank you note that is fancier, try Lovepop. Or a fancy thank you note from Hallmark.

@amyb   I would go with a gift card to a site that sells vegetarian products.  Sending any type of sweet treats might not be something she eats and everyone does not care for flowers or could have allergies.

@amyb

A gift card to Etsy, since you know that she likes that site since she sells there, or...

For me I would probably include a picture of my mom, write a lovely note and donate something in your friend's name to symbolically adopt an animal, like they do for WWF, perhaps an animal that your mom was also fond of.

I would stay away from Sheri's Berries. My husband got these for me a couple of years ago. They were awful. The chocolate was dried out and coming off the berries, they arrived wet from the ice bag that was supposed to keep them fresh and they are WAY overpriced. For the same amount of money I would get her a nice card and maybe a Visa gift card so she can buy herself a little something.
