The other morning, a driver was texting, turning a corner and drove up onto the sidewalk, striking a woman who was walking her small dog. The dog was killed instantly and luckily, the woman was not hurt bad, but of course, she is bruised and shaken up. She is distraught about the poor dog. This happened two blocks from my house and I just wanted to say - PLEASE, do not text and drive. Pay attention to what you are doing when you drive. If contact with another person is so critical at that exact moment, please pull over and take your call, or text if you must, but not while you are driving. You never know what could happen from one moment to the next, but again, PLEASE PAY ATTENTION WHILE YOU ARE DRIVING.
