No I have not, because I do not text.  But!! I have gotten calls, which I chose to answer on my land line, people asking about my Time Share. I do not have, nor have ever had, a Time Share.

 

Why/how?  Guess false  personal info of mine being shared.

@Kachina624 When we owned property we got letters all the time for about half of what it was worth.

 

If you call a real estate agent in the area you might be surprised.  Land values have increased.  I'd give it a shot if I were you!  Take the agent's estimate, add 5 or 10 percent and list it for that.

We have some rental properties. At least once or twice a week we get contacted by a realtor thru mail, text or voice message asking if we want to sell.

 

My dad taught me to always introduce myself when making a phone call. It’s shocking to me how many times someone texts, calls or sends a letter without ever telling me or signing their full name; those who text are the worst!  On the rare occasion that someone actually introduces himself/herself I jot down that contact info and stick it in my file.

 

Real estate info is readily available online thru various websites. There’s tons of free personal information including your real estate holdings, past and present. Our county also has a gis map online which lists owner, price paid, exact acreage of the property, date of purchase and taxes among other things. The property that corresponds to your mailing address or is listed as current address, is usually your primary residence. The rest might be rental properties and realtors swoop in.
