The only thing I can think of that I didn't like as a kid was lima beans, anything with red sauce on it (spaghetti, etc) and canned vegetables. I loved all fresh vegetables and fruit. We always had a bowl of fresh fruit in the kitchen that was fair game anytime.
My only changes as an adult is that I do not like grocery store candy (candy bars, M&M, etc). Not a fan of pasta dishes either. If I am going to eat all those calories it is going to be the really good stuff!

Beef stew, just couln't eat it wasn't appealing to me. Now I love it with cream of chicken soup in it, or dark brown gravy type. But haven't cooked it in awhile. My husband has trouble eating it , he gobbles his food like someone is going to steal his bowl of stew. And thin he can't digest it. Trying to get him to slow down , but had to hurry to eat when he was working..

Mine have stayed pretty much the same. I have expanded many in the veggie/fruit category, things we never had when I was a kid. Never been much for many condiments, like sauces or sweet toppings. Things I liked, I still like. Some things I never tried, but just knew I didn't/wouldn't like, I tried and do like, but very few.

I don't know if it is taste bud changes, but, I eat less variety of things than I used to
I know some of it is down to health reasons, but a lot of things just don't taste good to me. If I don't like the taste I am not going to eat it

Hmm, I should try liver and onions again - have always hated it!
The thing I notice is LOSS of taste as I get older. Food just doesn't taste as good as when I was young.

This is very true - we DO start losing our taste buds and start to suffer a “loss of taste” as we age. Medications, lack of minerals in our diet, too much of some things and not enough of others all contribute.
This excerpt is from a website that deals with aging issues:
”Your sense of smell and taste change as you age. Between the ages of 40 and 50, the number of taste buds decreases, and the rest begin to shrink, losing mass vital to their operation. After age 60, you may begin to lose the ability to distinguish the taste of sweet, salty, sour, and bitter foods.”
Even things I have always LOVED and couldn’t get enough of, can be “meh” to me now sometimes. I look forward to it greatly, but after eating it the enjoyment just isn’t there as it once was.
