Re: Target: You..are..being..hypnotised!

We use the Target card almost every week, including ordering online, with no problem.

Not only is the store clean but so are the shoppers.

For some reason, that made me laugh. But then, OR, you often amuse me.

We have a Target nearby, I think I have been in it once - ever. Not sure why just never go there.

Have you been brave enough to view the photos of Walmart shoppers that are posted online?

I'm happy to know that I've amused you it makes putting up with the Q censors and their website slowdowns worthwhile.

Yup and they are still trying to hypnotize you by pushing for you to open a Target card hoping that you were living under a rock and hadn't heard about the credit mess their sloppy security caused. Can't believe they are still soliciting people to get one after what they did. Everytime they ask me I just say ""You're kidding right?""

Do you actually know anyone who had a problem? I've had my Target card for years, enjoy the automatic 5% discount on everything I buy, and continue to use my Target card. I've had no problems at all.

Yes ME! I ordered a gift for a baby shower from a registry and had it sent to me. I used a bank VISA card. When I ordered the item they asked me if I wanted to register with a user ID and password so my check out would be faster in the future. I said NO and made my purchase as a guest so they would not retain my personal information or so I thought silly me. This was a year before this data theft. Was I surprised to get a E Mail from them saying that my name, address, phone # and E Mail had been taken in the data theft. They shouldn't even have retained that information after I told them I did not want to register with them and yet they did keep it without my permission. I wouldn't trust them to keep any information safe. I buy much less there now and pay with folding green. Evidently I am not the only one as their sales are down and I just read a article saying sales are down with many fewer customers using any sort of debit or credit cards when they do buy. Burn me once shame on you. Burn me twice shame on me! I would do the same with any retailer that was so sloppy that they had their data bases hacked. looks like my Home Depot card will be the next to get cut up and dropped in the trash bin.

Target has the best advertising campaigns. Plus I like the way many yrs ago, Isaac Mizrahi kicked the door open for established couture designers to present a ready-to-wear collection for Target. Just so incredibly different from Walmart.

I've never got what people see in Target. Average merchandise and limited selection at just slightly below big box prices and way above Amazon or Walmart. Now Walmart to me is hypnotic. I love that place! {#emotions_dlg.tt1}

I agree about Target, hardly ever shop there unless I'm looking for something specific that I couldn't find at Walmart.

Re: Target: You..are..being..hypnotised!

This is why I avoid (try to!) craft and hardware stores. Or I wear blinders and go down only the aisles I need to be in! Marshall's is one store I can really get into trouble with! They had beautiful mercury glass pumpkins and gourds there last week (largest was only $14) and it was all I could do to restrain myself and leave with only the one thing I went in for!!!

I just may go back soon. Lord help me...
