Re: Target: You..are..being..hypnotised!

Target and Costco are two places where I have no self-control.

We're all under a spell. Right now my TV is telling me I need a vacation at Sandals, I guess it's somewhere in the Bahamas or some balmy place where I'll be waited on with pretty drinks amongst the beautiful people. Yes, I do need that. Now. {#emotions_dlg.thumbup}

At Target, I have no problem sticking to my list. Costco, however, is another story. I'll have a list with maybe 10-12 items on it. By the time I reach the register, I have a lot more than the 10-12 things I went in for in my cart & I usually end up spending around $200.

I especially love Target just before the holidays, which starts NOW {#emotions_dlg.w00t}

They get in amazing stuff! Last week I discovered new "Threshold" flatware. I could not help myself, I was bowled over. Modern looking ROSE GOLD pieces. $5.99 for a three piece set, knife, spoon, fork. A little larger size than usual. A real knockout for fall, I got 4 place settings and the serving pieces.

They also come in hematite. Wouldn't that be perfect for Halloween? Gold is also listed but not out yet.

Noel: How would you decorate w/ accompanying pieces with Rose Gold? Do you focus on the rosy part or the gold part? Such a pretty color! Tablecloth, napkins, etcetera . Do share!

Noel, this is the first year since my mother passed away that I feel like decorating for Fall. I can't wait until the shops are in full swing and have their Fall stuff out and super excited to see what Target has for the season.

I go into fall colors about midway though September. I use autumn colors in a tablecloth and Spode plates and serving pieces, the woodland brown pattern. A centerpiece will blend the colors.

The rose gold flatware is a soft copper color, kind of like the Bronzo Italia but softer. It will work very well.

I also have flatware with polished wood handles that I usually use for Thanksgiving & fall. The rose gold will be just for us, a nice little touch when it's just the immediate family.

This happens to me at Costco. Also, at Fred Meyer. I always go in with a list and come out with more. Smiley Happy

Don't have that problem in Target, but, I sure do in Costco.

The SO, is even worse!
