@mspatmac You are a valued person at this house! My spouse implemented and ran a help desk for a large organization, and was so proud of it and the people there! So at this house we understand what all of you do for people! And it "ain't" easy!

My Talbots credit card closing date is the 4th.
I used it to order on their site this morning and it went through fine. Maybe in a few minutes I'll try to log in to my card and see what it tells me.

Comenity Bank is the worst ! Before this Talbot's problem they were the bank for SteinMart. When SteinMart closed its business, the bank issued its own credit card to the former company's cardholders.
I used the card without problems until it was declined. Here, they had never sent me a bill for 5 months. I have a Bill Log for the 1st and 15th of each month when to expect bills. Since I never got the first Comenity bill, they weren't on my log. With the rental properties, law office payroll and accounts payable, personal expenses, etc., I need something to organize this endeavor.
Spent a half hour going through the mess with a great customer service rep who said she was very familiar with what had happened to me. All the credits, rewards, deactivation were set up, payment mailed. We left for FL for the winter...card again declined. Shredded it.
Now, a year later, I have another issue with the bank after reactivating a Talbot's card back in December right before leaving for FL....all I ordered in the store were 3 classic sweaters with no intention of using the card again because
I have different taste. With no card ( no use for it ) with me, no bill received, USPS premium mail forwarding service once a week, I called Talbot's to find out where to send payment ( I knew the amount ) and to whom I should fill in name on check. No help, rather snarky. Told me to call Comenity....got the info and mailed check.
Got a bill finally for just " late charge " despite hoops jumped through and they continue these charges. Must be how they want to make profits.
At almost 78, I really don't need more clothes nor credit cards. No issues with Visa nor Mastercard in over 50+ years !
I hope all the folks who are caught in the middle of this fiasco for the last week suffer no harm.

They are still down this morning. You can't pay online (although the web page says you can), you can't pay by phone, phones mostly don't even work, still dead in the water.
There is a promise on the page that your inability to pay won't affect your credit score. Nada available through Talbots, Cominity or Bread Financial whateve that is.
I truly have never seen anything like it. It makes me wonder if it is hacking to this extent. If not, this may set the bar for incompetence in IT. And it was a high bar to begin with.
