**Just about every  year I go with my daughter, son in law and 4 grandsons to NYC.--for Christmas. We go other times also, but this is for Christmas.  We go to dinner at Carmine's on 44th st. The food is so unbelieveabley delicious!

***We walked to Rockefeller Center--the tree is magnificent!

***We then went to St. Patricks Cathedral. The church is always decorated beautifully!

*The creche is a must see! St. Patricks is very special to me--I graduated from there-- many, many, many years ago!!

***Times Square was very crowded but there was a lot of security.

*We went to Bryant Park--on 42 st. They have a" Holiday Shopping". We had the most incredible hot chocolate--very expensive, but never tasted any hot chocolate so delicious!

*We had a wonderful day!

Re: TREE AT ROCKEFELLER CENTER

@bronxgal1 Thank you for sharing your Christmas adventure. I texted my son your places to go and adventures to have. He is out with friends today. I know he mentioned Bryant Park and a show. I hope they have time to get to some of your highlights.

Re: TREE AT ROCKEFELLER CENTER

As a fellow Bronxite I'm so glad you had such a wonderful night.

It's funny you mentioned Carmine's.  We usually go to the one on the UWS only because the one on 44th is so busy, but I was recently at a convention in Las Vegas and went to the one there & even though the food was exactly the same and delicious, the waiter couldn't understand what we were ordering.  I guess the NY accents and the Italian pronunciations (3 of us) threw him off, lol.

Re: TREE AT ROCKEFELLER CENTER

@bronxgal1  My son and a friend of his went last weekend to see Aladdin at the New Amsterdam Theatre and loved it.  Then they went down to Rockefeller Center and saw the tree. He said it was amazing.  They had dinner but I'm not sure where but he said he would just love to live in NYC.  I told him you are 28 years old baby...nothing stopping you. Do it.
