@chrystaltree, many schools no longer teach cursive. It was part of Common Core.
I'm 51 and can drive a stick shift and have been able to since my early 20's and my sister can as well but most older people in my family, including my parents, never could.
@Lipstickdiva. In the state I was born, more than half of the schools in the state teach cursive. I know the state where Chrystaltree lives an d that state and some others all teach cursive.

@Spurt How about no debit cards? That would be total chaos!

The districts around my area are adding cursive back into their curriculum. Was glad to hear it. I taught it for many years. I learned to drive in a stick shift car....a 65 mustang....

@chrystaltree Perhaps you missed all the brouhaha about schools not teaching cursive. Many adults with young children were not happy about it and they are teaching it again. Driving a stick shift car does have something to do with one's generation. The majority have been driving automatics for a long time like many who drove a stick shift did until automatics became more popular.

I'm convinced it's doing foot pedals the same time you need to shift. Too much going on, if I wanted to do all that movement, I'd learn how to play a pipe organ. ROFLOL.
All this talk about Mustangs!! I love those cars.

@Spurt ...I have a sister who lives in another State...She always texts about everything rather than just leaving it to short messages or replies....She will actually go into long conversations...I try to tell her that texting is just for short messages and that thing called the telphone...lol...is much more convenient and relaxing for longer conversations.
She doesn't listen and just continues texting....She will even have arguments with me texting ...It is so ridiculous!...I just ignore them and she gets even more mad!...lol
I call her and tell her...."Okay, now let's have a more mature articulate conversation about this over the telephone...Stop being such a texting coward!"...lolol
LOL....your sister sounds a lot like mine (but we live in the same City)...... I worked hard to finally convince her to CALL me and have a conversation rather than text me...
But I have another friend that unless you are face to face she will only text....I told her I'm not much into texting, so what does she do.....she EMAILS me....![]()
