Re: THE WEATHER

[ Edited ]

@Poodlepet2, this is damage that only occurred a few hours ago. I visit this spot all the time. Where they are showing only debris there is usually beach to play & walk on, a 2-3 foot cement wall, and many cement & wood benches.

It has been rainy and mild here for about 2 weeks. I am sick of rain. I hate snow and ice but I wouldn't mind a bit of  temps below 60. Weird weather.

MN checking in, the town I live in is currently 36 degrees, and gloomy outside, and the snow we do have is melting, NOT a happy camper, I happen to enjoy winter!

Hi @CareBears

I like winter, too, but I am beginning to dread it.  SF has had virus after virus going around, and the big drugstores have almost run out of OTC meds.

The Mid-Atlantic has not been any better.  There was a hideous Norovirus making the rounds and a wicked sinus infection that required one of my friends to receive IV antibiotics.  Her face was swollen and she couldn't bend at the waist.  Over a week later she still has issues.

Interesting you mentioned that @Cookie2025. My daughter finally went to the doctor this morning for a horrible sinus infection she gasn't been able to kick.  She's on antibiotics also.

We are actually having very mild weather after a few weeks of bitter cold and some snow.

It almost felt "springy" like today.

I don't like the abrupt change. I still think it would be nice to have some colder weather for a little while longer.

Wow @AKgirl2, that's some weather that you get there.  I really appreciate and enjoy your posts regarding Alaska.  I can't imagine what it must be like to live there.  I'd love to visit one day and experience it.

Stay safe and warm!

@Hi @Citrine1 ~ Thanks for saying that, I do tend to ramble on....

Alaska welcomes you with open arms!  It's certainly full of beautiful sights to see.  Summers are gorgeous, not too hot, not too cold, not too humid...just right!  It's so green and colorful, flowers and vegetables grow like crazy due to the very long days during spring and summer (18 hours).  I've heard many people say that visiting Alaska is on their to do or bucket list.  Hope you do get to visit!

We have had 1 light dusting of snow and maybe 2 inches one other time so far this Winter. Right now its rainy and very foggy and its going to be rainy for days and in the 50s!. I am not mad, I hate snow, so I am glad for the lack of snow. But the weather people keep saying it wont last, we will get snow sooner or later. Hopefully much later like next Winter loll

Same here.  The third of three back to back storms is coming.  I'm struggling to keep up with clogged gutters and drains.  I picked up most of the branches during a break this afternoon, but have a tree down in my corral where it's muddy and somewhat flooded.

I need a week of sunshine and dry weather.

@Moonchilde@Poodlepet2

I have made several trips to Hearst Castle over the years and think I have taken every tour they have available.  It is quite the operation now.  You used to park in a dirt parking lot and a used school bus would take you up the hill.  It is well worth the time and money.  Very interesting.

Seattle area here.  51 degrees and partially sunny today.  I worked in the yard some today.  It is raining lightly this evening.  Tomorrow is predicted to be 50 degree and partly cloudy.  I am going to garden lecture tomorrow at a local botanical garden.
