Hi @Noel7! Yes, I had commented on your snowflake avatar in a thread that has since gone poof!
Sounds like you had some scary weather; I always find heavy rains frightening, especially when coupled with thunder and lightening. It can be chilling when you're lying in bed listening to those sounds!
It rained here in Philadelphia today too. Nothing major -- certainly not a storm. Our temps have been in the 40's and even 50's some days, so it barely seems like winter. I'm hoping we get some snow and colder weather before the spring comes. All the season seem to fly by so quickly.

Hi @Citrine1 ![]()
I actually was worried last night. I got out of bed and made a tour around the house to make sure everything was shut tight, and by then I was wide awake and it took awhile to get back to sleep, which is why I slept through the rest of the morning.

Hoping you get a better nights sleep tonight and that the rains slow down for you @Noel7 as the week wears on!

Maybe it's the storm from here @tansy
Nobody (from other parts of the country) believes me when I tell them it's cold and rainy in PHX. In fact, I just had a phone call from an acquaintance in Chicago who wanted to come and enjoy the sun and "hot weather"...................

At 4 am we had the heaviest rain I've ever heard in my life, and thunder and lightening, lots of it.
There's flash flooding around the Bay Area. Significant rain is predicted all the way through the week, some continuing into Monday.
What's your weather like?
Right now, it's about 41 degrees & wet, with a heavy fog advisory. This is in one of the NW suburbs of Chicago, an hour out of the city.

Here in Chicago it's around 40 with light rain. Now it's foggy. I LOVE winter and am so disappointed there isn't any snow. This is the type of weather we experience during late March/early April. We have three large dogs and keeping the mud off their paws in this weather is brutal! Tomorrow might be near 60! Oh, man...

I have friends in Phoenix, I've heard about the rain that comes in. What's the correct phrase for it? Where it rushes.
I've been to your city and Scottsdale, I really enjoyed the area. I can't take heat, but I like it there.

I was only in Phoenix one time -- about 30 years ago in April. It was 105 degrees!!!!!
