No they were not ready and they obviously did not like being gawked at like monkeys in a zoo.  However, this year, it was necessary for them to get out there and do their jobs.  Even the Queen said it was difficult year.  There were several missteps and challenges and much bad press and then there was Andrew.  They needed some good, positive, warm, happy press.  So, the two little ones were put into action and Charlotte had some great moments.  I would not be surprised if next Christmas, they didn't do the walk about.
