Parts of So Cal (but somehow never my part, lol) are due for rain starting at 7-8 pm. but it isn't going to be a big deal. Our rains that come from the north peter out before they get here. The El Nino rains will come frim the south, so they say. It's sunny here and pretty, but slightly chilly daytimes and it's been pretty windy.

I hear you, @chickenbutt. I'll be just north of Salinas within 3 months and plan to spend a lot of time in Monterey, Pacific Grove and Carmel. I love to just sit and watch/listen to the surf. It's like a daytime lullaby.

I have a niece in Alaska who is in the direct path of a blizzard today & tomorrow.

Hey Noel!   Of course, I'm just a little east of you but we got some really nice snow - for a short while.  It was beautiful BIG flakes.  It's broken up for now but still a little breezy.  Looks like the mountains have been getting a nice amount of snow so far today.

Hope the ice balls are small.  I love seeing those come down but I've never seen the really big ones they get in other parts of the country.

Hope you are well.

Snow!  Wonderful, I've been getting daily Instagram photos of snow in Yosemite, absolutely gorgeous.  The hail here is small and melting soon after it hits the ground, but we're at least able to see it Smiley Happy

I'm doing much better, will be glad to get off of the dreaded prednisone.  Maybe 10 days left.

How are you doing?  I hope you are ok, you've been doing a lot this season, tiring, I know Heart

That will turn into our next snow storm late tomorrow into Tue.

You, too, VCamp!  Smiley Happy

BTW, the San Jose Mercury news says the two recent storms came down from Alaska.  I guess that's why we're getting hail and snow in parts of Northern CA.

Glad you're doing well!  Oh yeah, Prednisone is a bit of a PITA for sure.  Always good when the therapy is finished!

I'm hanging in there.  Having way more bad nights than I wish I had but I manage.  It boggles the mind that one can be so exhausted, yet cannot sleep.  I fall asleep for periods, and I'm totally not exaggerating, of 5 to 10 minutes at a time.  Then I'm awake for a while - sometimes only an hour or up to 3 hours - then another 5-10 minutes of sleep - ad nauseam, throughout the night.  argh!

Got through Thanksgiving not too much worse for the wear.  Smiley Happy    Four days of hard work but I do love the turkey and other stuff I make.   The husband just lives for that meal, too, so I am going to keep doing it for as long as I can..

@Noel7,  we are having 75 high temp days here in the Blue Ridge Mtns, never had a day this warm @ Christmas season before, since we lived in the sauna of FL!  Crazy weather.

Winds have been a problem here, too, particularly stirring up the coastal regions.  Every year people go out to watch the surf and they have to be warned to stay back, it can be very dangerous.

I hope you do get rain, ladyroxanne, the trees and plants around here need it, that's for sure.
