I would consider WHY prices are so low........Labor laws in China aren't like ours here . Think about it.

its funny you are talking about this.. i ordered from them one time. over a month ago.. no problem with ordering and i had my things in like 6 days... i got a letter from bank of america that i may have been apart of a data breech.. im sure its not from this.. i had a friend at work that got the same letter in the mail... so i signed up for i think its called equifax.. and within a week i had "someone" try to open up 2 accts under me.... so i called and had it all fixed.. but alot of work goes into that.. i called multiple places and they told me to get a security freeze.. so i did of course... but someone somehow got my info..... and this site is the only new site that i ordered from... so it is possible??  who knows... but now i have to go through this mess for yrs to come...  i edited this to say i didnt download the app... i ordered from my home computer.. i will never dowload apps...but yes all the time i keep getting emails from them.. i may unsubscribe from them.

@bonnie f   if you ever get a notification like that again, the first thing you should do is go to the 3 main credit bureaus, Equifax, Trans Union and Experian and put a feeeze on your credit.  If your info is in a data breach, they usually pay for credit monitoring too.

@bargainsgirl

TEMU incessant advertising caused me to look up on Google how to stop these ads. I did whatever it said to do in settings. By performing this maneuver, I believe TEMU (or any advertiser) is only allowed 15 seconds per day ads on the device.

It worked.

Both Temu and Tik Tok are Chinese companies.  There have been many warnings about them.

If you'd actually trust them with your financial information, and don't mind their cookies in your devices, hey, go for it.

I am a huge fan of TikTok. I spend a lot of time on there and spent a lot of $ thanks to TikTok. I am all for supporting small business, women owned business, and black owned business. TikTok has been life changing for so many.

Senior here. Is the TEMU app more risky than ordering from their website?  DIL orders from TEMU frequently, no problem yet, but most of the stuff looks dollar store quality to me. I'd never risk it, but hubby and I are old enough to remember when the world was a different place. These days we trust no one.

I wondered about this too... wouldn't going thru PayPal ensure security for you?

And this might sound naive... I don't think any entity in China would care if they had my info? I'm not a secret agent.

@YouGoGirl1

edited: oh ok! She used "chime" which I assume is the same idea as PayPal?

What I mean is that if a person uses a third party payor and especially if they are can international entity (such as PayPal) wouldn't this be a way to prevent a seller such as TEMU from getting your info and using it in a criminal way?

Once I was contacted (many years ago) by Visa's International investigative division about a criminal use of my cc. When I asked about what they (the criminals) charged, I was told that first they used my account # for a small purchased, then a LARGE purchase in a Walmart across the country. Somehow Visa did tell me this was an international matter.

So, I'm thinking that the protection we get lies in the company whose credit we are using?
