I believe if you order from them, even using a prepaid card or PayPal, they still have access to your device and can gather info such as your contacts, apps you use, etc.

Daughter #2 orders from Temu.  She started with household and yard things but she has started buying things like shorts, leggings, tank tops for ridiculously low prices.  I saw a few things and they are definitely not shoddy, cheap things.  Her shorts and tanks that I saw were similar to anything you would see at Target, WalMart.  You have to order through the app and I'm hesitant about putting the app on my phone.  She has a second phone that she uses for shopping and web surfing.  I did ask her to look for some padded headbands and some thick socks for me.

@bonnie f   if you ever get a notification like that again, the first thing you should do is go to the 3 main credit bureaus, Equifax, Trans Union and Experian and put a feeeze on your credit.  If your info is in a data breach, they usually pay for credit monitoring too.

yes thanks,, they "tried" opening a wells fargo acct.. they called me.. and the women i spoke to was sooo nice.. she was on the phone with me for about 20 to 30 min explaining alot to me.. she told me about the freeze and i did it... i have credit monitorning also.. i think it lasts 3 yrs.. and when it expires i will get it again. at least now i feel safer.. and when they do try it again.. and they will.. i will get alerted..  like i said it may not be because i ordered from temu.... but that is the only new site i have ordered from within the past month,,, everywhere else i have been for yrs...

I always wondered if anyone purchases a re-loadable credit card to use on those sites.

Of course.  I have used a reload debit card for all my online shopping for about 20 years.  It's for safety and security but it also keeps me on budget.  I'm paying cash for my shopping and I can only use the money on the card.  My daughter shopd on TEMU and I'm sure she uses a debit card because she uses a Trac phone just for online shopping.

Won't buy from them. Won't click on an ad. To me somethings are more valuable than saving money.

This~~~saving a dime here and there just isn't worth it to me.

I think you need to ask some questions if prices are “too good to be true”.

You do not have to order thru the app though.  I order on-line and declined to download their app.  I only order my bras thru them, 3 for $9.99 and let me tell you after searching for years and spending lots of $$ on bras I finally found ones that not only fit but are comfortable all day!  I also find they are equal in quality to the bras I used to buy in the $20 - 30 range.
