Threads like this START a panic even if not intended to. Just because YOUR store was low or out of a few things does not refect the country.  Some people love to start a conspiracy  that the sky is falling.

Once again it seems to be very random on what you can and cannot find at the store. I think the main problem is no one can find workers. Every occupation you can think of is scrambling for workers. Look at what's going on with Spirit Airlines. So yes, supply chain issues. If you don't have anyone to work in the factories or drive the trucks, you have a supply chain issue. I don't understand why there are so many jobs available, yet so many people still on unemployment. Well, I guess I do understand.

There are more reasons for shortages.  Spirit airlines is saying most of the cancellations are weather related.  If they were so short handed why would the flights be on the schedule in the first place.  Sounds like bad planning.  I know people who have flown southwest and had no issues.  Not really sure what is going on.

@sunshine 919 Southwest and American have both had to cancel flights as well.

Spirit has said it's a combination of weather, and IT issue and being short staffed.  The CEO said they will learn from this experience.  That's never been the best airline to begin with.

No issues. Must be regional.

My local Giant Eagle seems to be okay but Meijer has low stock on a lot of items I've heard from more than one person that Walmart shelves are empty.

We are having issues with fast food places being closed for full days or closing hours early not only because they have no employees to take the shifts but they aren't getting their food deliveries so they have nothing to sell.

I have definitely noticed a big increase in prices in the grocery store as well.  Either prices have flat out gone up or the package size is smaller/contains less product but the price stayed the same.

@SeaMaiden  no they don't.  The OP put a question mark in her title. If you read the thread, clearly she is asking if anyone else is having these issues.

If anyone pays any attention to the news, they have been talking about delivery issues due to a shortage of truck drivers, no employees to stock shelves, etc.  It's a nationwide issue.

Besides some of my favorite things being discontinued for whatever reason, the only thing I'm having trouble finding is Carbsmart ice cream bars with the crunchy chocolate coating for my husband.  They have been iffy all summer though.  I found out he also likes the Enlighten ones, but they, too, have gone missing.

I find it's hit or miss in terms of grocery stock.  I show at 2 different grocery stores and my main store, Wegmans, I go to 3 different ones depending on where I am when I need to shop.  There's no consistency between the 3 Wegmans, which I find odd.  One store will be out of something almost always but the other 2 stores always have it.

I run or company's company store for logo items and it is difficult to get product right now.  I'm taking what I can get and hoping it's enough.

Yes, overall the supply chain is still a mess. What people need to realize is that many goods and raw materials are international (and I don’t just mean China). there are ongoing problems with outbreaks and nonexistent vaccination. Many ports around the world are in repeated quarantines.

Not where I live. The only grocery item I have consistent trouble getting is Popsicles-sugar free or regular. I attribute that to hot weather and kids being on Summer break.

I would guess that some people are panic buying and hoarding in places with high covid numbers and low vaccine rates. Psychological effect.

@Duckncover

I was at Costco yesterday and bought hand soap, Bounty paper towels and Kleenex tissues. They had lots of Dixie paper plates, and bowls. So it depends on your location.

Our Fry's ( Kroger) was giving away large bottles of hand sanitizer.

And every store I shop at have lots of disinfecting wipes that nobody is buying.
