@Jaspersmom   That's a high honor!

....  The guy in my emoji is Jasper.... so I'm also Jasper's mom!  It took a long time for me to figure out his name, but it hit me one evening when he did something that his predecessor, Jake, did.  I instantaneously knew that he was Jasper, named after Jake, and that I'd call him Jazz.  It didn't make a lot of sense at the time because he had some health issues as a puppy that caused him to be pretty lethargic.  Not Jazzy at all.  But, as the issues resolved, he grew into his name.

@Greeneyedlady21   Thanks so much for posting this.  I didn't watch the show but watched the segment on the NBC site.  Loved it!

Sully the K9 clearly recognized Jenna Bush when Sully first came on set.

Jenna did an outstanding job keeping her composure throughout the segment. Her girls were (are) darling and so was Sully.

I had to re-apply my eye make-up after the segment.

@Jaspersmom 2014 is also when I lost Jake.  And, like you with your Jasper, I still miss him terribly.  Sending hugs!

Both a hero....I wish that Sully had remained at home with his family.  Yes, of course I am aware of

all the altruistic duties that will be raised, but animals love their family as much as humans. I am a strong animal advocate. I will forever remember his demeanor beside his family member, President Bush.

I SO, agree with you.  Yes, others will disagree, but he does love this family, and rightly so.  They love him.

The heart chooses, and having done so is not moved.  To be with the one who’s heart picked you, and whom your heart chose is a blessing beyond belief.

Surely, duty will not negate that.

Just looking at his head shape, he is still only a pup.  And yet, so many major changes in his life, from his first foster, (which no doubt he thought was home) to his first trainer, to The Bush family (which he must have thought was finally home), to a new trainer, and now a placement that is not at all a home, so very different.

I feel sad for him, and his family.
