All of the above are great suggestions...if it were me giving the gift I would do the restaurant gift card.

@haddon9   Yeah, it's like taking them out to dinner for the occasion, at their own convenience.

@Pearlee   A little off topic...I was out to lunch with a friend last week and I mentioned that I realy wanted to go to the R&R Hall of Fame.... she does too and she's the type who likes to drive long distances so I might finally get to go early next summer(she's a teacher & it's hard to take off during the school year)  I'm so excited! @haddon9   Let me know if and when your plans firm up.  Maybe I can meet you there --- in the fabulous gift shop of course!

A bottle of wine,  gift cards for dinner and a movie.

Nothing that needs to be displayed or dusted.  They probably have everything they already need and don't want more!

All  the anniversary parties I have been invited to have stated - please no gifts as we have everything we need or want so just come celebrate with us.  I think that is the way to do it especially if the couple has plenty of money.

I would give a gift card to their favorite restaurant or one that they might like.

I would agree with the gift card to a very nice restaurant.

Agree with this. If we EVER had an anniversary party for many guests (which we would not), I would make sure to let everyone know we do not want any gifts—so we don’t end up with useless things that people feel obligated to bring.

We just celebrated our 45th without all the fan fair, but we may do something special with family for our 50th. All the gift suggestions IMO are very good, we too would ask people not to gift us, but people do feel obligated, I know I would.
