We can get news updates but they don't provide the sharing of individual experiences and support for one another.

That was uncalled for.

@Cakers3 @ I'm not the one who posted that, Not Guilty.

I don't care where others stick their head. I don't care that they wish to relax here because I don't come here to relax.

I want to read it all, both the accurate and inaccurate, the blame and the excuses. I like nonsense.

QVC should not be expected to cater to the overly sensitive whiners by creating a forum to hide the current crisis.

While you and I might often agree about some things, we clearly don't here. Your depiction of those who don't want to live and breathe commentary about every conceivable nuance of this situation 24/7, particularly via a shopping channel's website, as 'overly sensitive whiners' is a bridge way too far. It's unnecessary and not at all useful other than, perhaps, as a means for your catharsis.  QVC and the forums are no more here to serve your purpose alone than they are mine or anyone else's and we all have the capacity to express our thoughts on how we'd like to see them managed. At the end of the day, they'll do what they choose to do and regardless of what they do or don't do, the current crisis will not be 'hidden'. To suggest that it even could be seems beyond far-fetched to the point of folly..

@QueenDanceALot  ..... Thank you for your suggestion. The titles do not "upset" me. As I said in a previous post when the virus broke out when my husband got sick and was in and out of the hospital for a 1 year and 4 months fighting to live and with his eventual death I have already been to he$$ and back. Very little disturbs me enough to put me in "panic" mode. Dealing with his illness and death showed me how strong a person I am. That and my faith.

I am a strong person but I know others that need to step away from the news, etc. for a while. Those are the people I am talking about and trying to protect.

You see things one way. I see things the other way. I am happy you have ways to take a break from the board. To some this is all they have.

Later on tonight I will get a cup of tea, grab my kindle and start reading one of my beloved highlander books. I wish everyone that was alone could close out the world like I will but regretfully they won't be able to.

Take care and enjoy your time away from the board.

I am sorry for your heartache.  I am fairly certain there are a number of people here who have experienced very difficult times.

But we are all adults here, and we have a responsibility to decide for ourselves what information to partake in and what information to avoid.  And those who think their sensitivities should be catered to by denying others their own expressions here are selfish and immature.

@occasionalrain   I know you did not post that graphic but my post was to respond to folks coming here to share information, etc.

It wasn't meant to deny your pov.

We can share without denying anyone their pov, even if it isn't the popular one.

And not to you, again, but I believe some do relish all the negative while glossing over the positive.

A balanced discussion without the theories and rumors is missing more often than not.

If you can handle the nonsense without believing in it, fine.  Yet many read it and believe it.

Simple solution:

Community Menu--all virus discussions

Among Friends---no virus discussions

Why ask QVC to create a new forum? Why can't we just do the above?

Perhaps we're all talking about different things, but I, for one, am not suggesting catering to any single set of sensitivities by denying anyone anything... Some have merely suggested ways commentary might be contained or better organized, so that those who want it can get it and those who don't are more easily able to avoid it. While I don't personally wish to put myself out there as an arbiter of 'adult' behavior or of what is 'selfish' or 'immature', for most adults, sensitivity to more than one's own point of view does cut both ways...

@SunSprite  ... Very good suggestion. Only problem. Some of the posters would never agree and do everything in their power to stop it. Sorry to say ......  there are some that just sit and wait for a post to show their venom. Not just in the virus posts ...  they have done it in the past.
