I have been ordering one refrigerated food item from Q, on auto delivery, which I really like, but now I have 3 styrofoam coolers to dispose of- 

I hate to do dump in the landfill!  Any other ideas? What do foodies do with all the styrofoam coolers?

@Skyegirl21.  I know how you feel.  It seems a shame to trash all that Styrofoam but I have no use for it or room to store it so it goes into the garbage.  Wish it could be recycled.

@Skyegirl21   I would keep it.  You never know when you might need one.  Or you could see if anyone in your neighborhood might need one.  Or check with Goodwill or Salvation Army to see if they may need it.  No need to throw it away.

In the past, I received my MS injections in a styrofoam box.  I kept them.  I used them when taking cold foods to my mother's house.  Or when I took cold foods to work if something special was going on.

And one more thing I forgot about.  The Tiny House group here in my town collects styrofoam.  I'm not sure what they use it for.  But check online for Styrofoam Uses in your state or city. You would be surprised at what you find.

I keep a styrofoam cooler in the trunk for Walmart pickup and cold items from the grocery store.

You could also use in pantry for organizing.

I can put styro foam in with recycling where I live.

Check with your local Meals on Wheels program and/or food bank. Where we live, both organizations take styrofoam coolers for recipients.

Check your recycling center to see if they have a "styrofoam monster" that recycles the molded styrofoam often found in packaging or coolers like you have into smaller "bricks" -- they are sent to the landfill but take up significantly less room.

Store Christmas/Holiday cards, or 'this and that' items.

I like the idea of keeping one in the trunk of my car.

I cut up styrofoam and put in big heavy flowerpots. I don't need to fill the huge things with dirt, so instead the bottom half I fill with styrofoam pieces and then put dirt on top of that.

I pack things in it that I am discarding and take to the Salvation Army.  I figure they either want the cooler or they don't.
