It's stuffing not dressing. Dressing is what I wear. Woman Wink

Stuffing. But I'll call it anything anyone wants if that's what it takes to get some. Yum! Pure carb heaven.

Stuffing is in the bird, dressing is in a pan..we always have stuffing.

Stuffing, but I must say I like the way dressing sounds!

I'm not from the south but, yup, it's DRESSING.  Smiley Happy

I think part of this for me is the fact that I see stuffing it inside the raw turkey as absolutely grotesque.

But, really, I've always seen it as dressing.  I grew up in CA but the so-called mother thing is from the south.

We did too - and between stuffing and dressing we always said stuffing but we never stuffed a turkey - always made in a pan separately.

ETA:  ironically I bought a rotisserie chicken yesterday and had that and a baked potato last night.  I picked what was left off the bone.  Today I made a pan of "stuffing" and I'll bake that and have it with chicken today.  Can't wait and wonder why I don't do that a few times a year.  I'll make it again for T'giving!

Re: 🤔Stuffing or Dressing

It was dressing my entire life.  I'm from MA and it's possible that "dressing" is a New England thing but everyone says stuffing so in recent years, I've started calling it stuffing.  In the same way that I now say soda and not tonic.
