Dummy me thought this was going to be about leggings or regular pants.

Re: 🤔Stuffing or Dressing

It's "dressing" to me (South Carolina), and it's never, ever cooked inside the bird. My mom's dressing was always dry as the desert, my mother-in-law's was moist and delicious--guess whose recipe I follow?

Re: 🤔Stuffing or Dressing

@vermint  My thoughts exactly, ( North Carolina ) .  In my experience dressing in the pan, has always been moist, and i have never had suffing inside the bird that was dry as dirt. To each his own. Hope everyone has a lovely holiday.

NYC, NJ & SE PA it's stuffing.  Dressing is for salad.

Re: 🤔Stuffing or Dressing

Personally, I don't care what it's called, wherever.

Just as long as I have PLENTY of it (even cold the next day for breakfast).

A pox on you, Stovetop Stuffing!!!  I want the real thing.

Re: 🤔Stuffing or Dressing

According to my family stuffing is made with white bread or a bread made from flour.  Dressing is made with corn meal/ corn bread.

Re: 🤔Stuffing or Dressing

a post thanksgiving tip......

the next day, make thin patties out of the dressing and fry them in a pan on each side.

top with a sunny side up egg OR serve some scrambled eggs on the side.

it is delicious!!!

my daughter likes the dressing patties with some turkey on top,  some leftover brie cheese, and then topped with our homemade cranberry/raspberry sauce.

i am so ready for some thanksgiving dinner!
