Secret admirer ???????

No, I haven't had that experience but I saw a couple of tv news segments about it. If I am remembering correctly; companies that sell the stuff online and on Amazon want customer ratings and customer reviews to boost sales. So, they send items out to free to people who never asked for them (they don't identify themselves) and then they post reviews under those people's names. All 5 star ratings, I'm sure. One couple received something like 40 packages full of stuff they didn't want/ask for/need. A local consumer fraud reporter did the story. Apparently, it's not illegal and since the company doesn't identify itself, there's no way ask them to stop.

as stupid as it may sound.
lately there have been people ordering things with stolen credit cards sending it to people's home (they don't know these people ), just sending, waiting for package to be delivered to these unknown people's home, so they can steal from front porch area.
i know this really sounds stupid and off the charts, off the grid, off the noodle, but could this be one of the off the walls scenarios????
