Still Waiting for Fish Delivery

My Sweet Potato encrusted Salmon was shipped two days ago and still waiting for it to be delivered at 5:30 Pm tonight. Said out for delivery on UPS This morning. I do not live in the country. If it is not frozen when it arrives, I will call the Q for a refund. You do not re freeze fish or eat unfrozen fish on a two day delivery.

I do not know on items like this, why they do not send it rush delivery.

Re: Still Waiting for Fish Delivery

Does UPS have special refrigerated trucks??? It seems fish especially should be shipped overnight.

Hope it works out for you.

Re: Still Waiting for Fish Delivery

What I find totally weird is that my orders usually take two days to get here when shipped by UPS. But the last two have only taken one day, one order about a month ago and one this week. My order of electronics items were shipped yesterday and arrived this evening. But an order of fish takes more than two days? That just seems so turned around to me. {#emotions_dlg.confused1}

Re: Still Waiting for Fish Delivery

My orders to Calif. Take at least 7 days UPS . I did get an Pax Pax earring set in four this very week, but that is unusual. QVC said my ETC is four days. I said for fish are you kidding? They did give me a refund. The fish arrived at eight last evening and went on the truck five in the morning to be delivered. I spoke with the driver. All my delivered are usually from five to six in the evening. Anyway no more food orders for me. Forty eight hours for fish is too long in trucks .

Re: Still Waiting for Fish Delivery

It got to the point (when I ordered food) where I would go to UPS and pick up my things. I must be the last one on their route., because many of my things get here after 7:30 p.m.

Items are put on the truck about 12 hours earlier. UPS is not too far from where I live and I would much rather go and get the item. Especially the hams.

Re: Still Waiting for Fish Delivery

I am going to speak with the UPS MAN I see on the route when I walk my dog. He use to deliver at 1:30' why the change in time. The excuse I got last night was short handed, which is crock, since I saw two earlier ones on the route yesterday.

Re: Still Waiting for Fish Delivery

When things are shipped frozen they are usually in special containers and packed in dry ice to keep them frozen.

I had a complaint about something from Schwans once and they shipped me a replacement - when it got there a few days later via USPS it was frozen solid, packed in dry ice.

Re: Still Waiting for Fish Delivery

When they ship perishable food they ship it by 2day air. It should have enough dry ice inside the styro container to keep it for more than two days.

I just received something that traveled across the country (2day air) and there was still a good amount of dry ice in the container, and the product was 100% frozen.

Hopefully what you received was still frozen.

That's inexcusable.
