Since Spectrum took over, my monthly bill went up $20.  I called to question this and their CSR told me, and I am quoting verbatim: There are no special pricing offers now, but, we can always raise it some more for you.   I gotta tell ya, I was dumbfounded!  The line then disconnected.  I called back, asked to speak with a supervisor, told him what "Daniel" had said to me & he said that there was nobody with that name working there.  He apologized.  Unbelievable.

We had TWC for years.  Once the changeover to Spectrum went through, our bill went up a few bucks and then last month went up again almost $20.00 more.  When I called, I was told that we were still under TWC pricing and they checked to see if there were any cheaper Spectrum packages for us and I was told there weren't.  The cheapest Spectrum bundle would cost me $30.00 more per month than my TWC package I was under.

I did notice that there have been more channels added however, they are under Spectrum only and since I'm still under a TWC package, we can't get any of the new channels.  Not sure I want them anyhow.

Have had Charter/Spectrum for many years -- hate them. Don't be fooled by their ads touting no contract. The only one who benefits from no contract is Spectrum as they have been increasing their prices every few months lately. The only deals they seem to run are for new customers -- no loyalty to their long time customers. Unfortunately they are the only cable company in my area.

Yup, we went from TW to Spectrum. So far, so good, but I do expect price hikes.

We also went from TWC to Spectrum - so far no issues or change in our service.  We have the bundled deal for TV, internet, phone.  We currently have no desire to switch to DSL or Dish.

So far I am still on the TW pkg, until May.  I have had a bad experience with Spectrum cs so far - been told totally different things and no one was friendly.  To keep what I have, Spectrum will be $250/mo per one rep.  I pay $129 now.

No way can or will I pay that much for my bundle, which includes land line which I don't need, but it's the same price with or without.  I have no movie channels.  I think it may be bye bye Spectrum.  I've had Charter in the past and they were ok, but I guess they have to pay for this TW acquisition somehow - namely through US!!!

DH & I relocated to Central Florida about 7 months ago.  Prior to that, we had Directv for 15 years & loved their service.  However we had to use BrightHouse with no other choice.  We are very frustrated;  we were charged for services we didn't sign up for.  You have to be beyond brilliant to figure out the remote control & how to work through their system.  No help from CS.  Then they are bought out by Spectrum; bad to even worse.  This makes us think about moving again so we can get back Directv...!

Re: Spectrum Cable

[ Edited ]

I was fairly happy with TWC, having cut my cable bill to the bare bones last summer and adjusted to living with what I had.  Spectrum took over, immediately cut my favorite channel (TCM) and jacked my bill up $30.  I called CS and they are refunding $4.15 for voicemail I was billed for but never needed or requested.  CS gave me the old "you had it in a discounted pkg and now the discount has expired" line.  I have complained before about those mysterious discounts that suddently expire.  I stated that I was unhappy with the price increase and would move over to Google Fiber.  She was rather smug, saying there were a lot of changes coming and I should wait for those before deciding to move on.  The very next night, I couldn't find my fav channels.  Turns out, Spectrum has rearranged all the channels with no communication to customers at all.  QVC used to be channel 20, now it's something like 154.  I did find some new channels available to me but nothing I would have selected and paid for.  Just a bunch of garbage.  Still have not received any communication from Spectrum.

I have only had Charter/Spectrum for many many years. They used to have a local office and you could go in and get good deals on bundles. Now, they closed the office and no more deals. I have had good repair guys over the years. I like that my son can sign in my Spectrum online account and use all the channels etc. He lives in Baltimore, I live in Michigan. I have their wall phone now. You have to go into your online account and make sure your settings are right. I had private numbers from friends who tried to call and couldn't get through.

Here is what I do not like.

The cost now. They truly are taking me to the cleaners compared to years before.

The way you have to buy tiers to get to channels you like.

The on demand feature has commercials. You can't fast forward a lot of channels.

I feel the cost is way to high. But the only other choice is satallite, I am not going there.

It's been a joke around here of always seeing WC trucks doing repairs. Yesterday I saw my first Spectrum truck. I guess they will follow suit. We had so much trouble with WC. Always conking out or breaking down. DISH has great customer service, but IMO they're all taking us to the cleaners.
