So why is it OK to be disappointed in Nixon, but my being disappointed in TK's leaving MJK to drown is not OK?

So would you have been as disappointed if he had gotten involved with a woman?

Dagna, you're reading more into this than what was intended. To a young girl who was "in love" with a handsome movie star and find out there was no way a childish dream could come to fruition was disappointing. In the mind of a movie star worshiper, he could always divorce his wife..but things didn't work out that way.

I get 'it' in regards to Rock, but from what I understand, the movie moguls during that time did everything in their power to hide a star's s@xuality, out of wedlock children etc, stuff that these days is no big deal.

Yep, Clark Gable's daughter born to Loretta Young. Loretta went to England for a respite and returned with her "adopted daughter." She looked so much like her father, her mother got plastic surgery for her ears.

His PR firm should have squelched that.
Ah I love Nolan Ryan. Saw him pitch several games when he was with the Texas Rangers. I can see how he wouldn't feel "at home" in NY. He was born and raised in Texas and just a good ole country boy from Alvin, TX. I was at his last "no hitter" game. Wish I'd have saved my ticket.
His eyes always remind me of my Mother's father in looks.
7. On May 1, 1991, pitching for Texas, he defeated Toronto, 5-0, allowing two walks and striking out 16.

The way I measure a lot of people is by how they parent. When I was a young girl, I remember watching Mommie Dearest. No matter what I watch Joan Crawford in, I can't stand her because I can't get that off my mind.
I also get very disappointed when I hear that someone famous doesn't pay child support or isn't in their childs life.
